Description

I was working on this piece recently, and i'm so happy how it turned out!! :squee:

I used a beautiful labradorite stone for this pendant. The stone's royal blue colour reminded me to the seas and oceans.
The pendant fits well on a woman's clavicle.

The pendant 100% handmade and designed by me. My works are unique, artistic pieces. I don't use lost wax casting, all of my works are sawed, filed and soldered piece by piece.
I used a ready chain for this piece.

Material: sterling silver
Stone: labradorite
Sizes of the pendant: 10,5 cm width

I will ship the jewel in a pretty gift box together with tracking number.
Free shipping worldwide!!

This one is SOLD

Vision: I would say spot on matches the title. The metal curls and edges surrounding the blue stone have a nice wave feel to their design and placement.

Originality: Since it is hand made that makes it original as it is difficult to copy hand made work. Also the design I haven't seen before so that contributes to its originality.

Technique: The metalwork looks very professional. It has nice smooth edges and well done curves and rounded points so not to be sharp. I love the lines showing separation of the two long curves at the base of the gem on either side that is wonderful reminds me of two phoenixes as the two curved but no curl at the end makes me think of wings very elegant. The two designs on top on either side are beautiful with their engraved lines or indented lines to show separation is lovely giving a gentle smooth flow uninterrupted. The curve inward on the top curl on the left and right is nicely done.

The smaller and more single long curls at the ends a nice touch for framing the waves and two birds. They are a nice way to show and hold the shape together adding to the endless flowing motion. The chain is lovely and, in my opinion, the right size links as too big of links would had brought the piece down but that's just my thoughts. The gemstone is simply gorgeous. The deep blue and darker blue is beautiful and has the colors of the deep sea if one goes out far enough or deep enough. It's very beautiful and fitting with nicely sized teeth holding the gem in place.

I notice though a few small scratches on the bottom left bird/wave. That is a bit distracting unless that is a reflection of something else then never mind and just shows how excellently polished the necklace is.

Impact: It's very beautiful piece and I love how well it flows feeling endless like the oceans themselves. Each piece doesn't feel out of place and feels to frame the entire piece around the stone elegantly. Only thing I noticed were a few scratches on the left bottom bird/wave piece unless it is a reflection then ignore this minor detail mentioned.

Overall: The piece I love and admire the wonderful flowing energy of the metal work so smoothly soldered together and the way it was expertly cut and smoothly shaped to leave no rough patches as I can tell. The stone is gorgeous and I love its coloring and the lines inside the stone. The teeth are the right size and the chain also perfectly picked for size. The metal balls going up interesting and yet doesn't detract from the piece. Excellent work.
